How to download content from the new Brand Store

This article explains how to prepare and download product content from your cart in the new Brand Store using the download manager. The download manager page allows you to choose the file format and track download progress.

Creating a data configuration

A data configuration is a way to customize the types of data you download from a brand store. You can save a data configuration and use it whenever you download content from a brand store. This way, you can limit the type of data to what you deem necessary.

Inside the store
do the following:

1. Click your user name in the top-right corner and select Data Configuration.
   The Data Configuration modal opens.
   
   
2. Click + Create New
   
   
3. Provide the required information for your data configuration:
   
   
   • Give your configuration a name you remember.
     The data configuration will appear with this name in the Data Configuration drop-down menu on the Cart.
     
     
   • Select a data type from the Data Types list. This defines what fields are available in the Field Types list.
     
     
   • Select one or more field types from the Field Types list. The field type is added to the list of fields downloaded when you download a cart.
       
     

      

     You can select one data type at a time and define the available field types for this data type. Once done, you can change the data type and add other field types to your list.

   • Select the languages you want for your fields using the Languages drop-down menu.
     
     
4. Click Save Changes when you are done.
   The data configuration gets added to the list of Data Configurations available when you open your cart.

Preparing your cart for download

Add all the products you want to download to your cart. See How to manage your cart in the new Brand Store for help adding, removing, or sorting products.

Choosing download options

In the cart's Download Options section, you can configure how your content will be packaged:

The available options depend on the selected file format.

• File Format
  Choose CSV, Excel, JSON, or PDF.
  You lose any previous download options when changing the file format to or from PDF.
  
  
• Output Filename
  Enter a custom filename or keep the suggested name.
  
  
• PDF Language (PDF only)
  Selects the language of the PDF from the available languages.
  
  
• Cover / Main / End Template (PDF only)
  Selects the cover, main, and end templates for the PDF creation. For more information on catalogs,  see How to create a catalog in the new Brand Store.
  
  
• Download Assets As
  Choose how files are presented (e.g., Files, URLs, or you can also choose to exclude resources)
  
  
• Asset Format
  Select whether the associate assets come in small thumbnails or preview sizes.
  
  
• Data Configuration
  A way to customize the types of data you download from a brand store. You can select a custom data configuration (see Creating a data configuration) or use the default, which includes all data types and fields made available by the store administrator.
  
  
• Send a download link to these recipients
  Send links via email to allow recipients to download the selected products.

Starting your download

Once your download options are set, click Download. The brand store generates your file in the background. Alternatively, you can click Send Email to send an email with download links to your cart's contents.

The Download Status modal opens to show the current progress. You can minimize the window and continue browsing the store.

Tracking download progress

As the download is being prepared, the Download Status modal shows the current progress.

To view all downloads, click the button in the lower-right corner of the Brand Store screen. The Downloads manager opens up and shows tabs for:

• Active – Downloads currently processing.
• Completed – Finished downloads ready for retrieval.
• Failed – Any downloads that encountered an error.
• All – A combined view of all downloads.
