This article describes the different language options a user has when working in inriver.
For instructions on how to change languages, read this article.
About inriver language options
In inriver data, we distinguish between the elastic data model, entity data, and the user interface. You can use different languages for these different parts of inriver.
The language options are stored as settings for the individual user.
Model language
When you define an elastic data model, you select which model language(s) you need to translate your product information for different channels and/or markets.
All parts of the model can be translated to the languages you include in your model. This translation is optional and normally you only translate the model to a few languages that match the languages used by your users.
All languages in the data model must be assigned to the LocaleString data type.
In inriver, there are more than 800 supported model languages. Read more in this article.
Data language
When working in the Web Portal, for example in Enrich, you can select data language for your user. The entity data in the fields will be shown in the selected data language, if the field type is of data type LocaleString or a CVL of data type LocaleString.
You can view and edit the data in any other language by clicking the Edit icon.
In inriver, there are more than 800 supported data languages. Read more in this article.
Interface language
Interface language is the language of the inriver interface and the static texts describing the various parts of the capabilities. The interface language has nothing to do with the elastic data model or data and the texts cannot be customized.
The available interface language options are English (US), French, German, and Spanish.
Read more about how to change interface language in this article.
Language options in the web portal
You can view and change languages in the Web Portal > User details.
To open User details, click the user icon in the upper right corner after logging in to the Web Portal.
Note: After changing a language option, you need to log out and log back in for the change to take effect.
