This article explains how to create a Channel with Nodes in the Plan & Release.
About channels
Channels are used to organize entities into different groups and publish them to an outbound connector, for example Content Store. Within a channel, it's possible to set up a node structure and link different entities to different nodes.
To create a channel
- In the Web Portal > Plan & Release, click Create entity in the top navigation menu (next to the Jobs button) and select Channel.
- Fill out the fields in the Create Channel window that opens. Note that any field name that is followed by a * is mandatory. Note the title you give the channel.
- Click Save to close the dialog and show all available channels.
- Click the channel that you just created. An overview of the channel is shown.
- Click the Structure tab.
- Click the channel name.
- Click Add node to add a new node.
- Fill out the fields in the Create Node window that opens.
- Click Save.
To add a node
To add a new node on the same level as the top node:
- Click the channel name.
- Click Add node to add a new node and fill out the fields.
- Click Save.
To add a new node on the level below the top node:
- Make sure that the top node is selected.
- Click Add node to add a new node and fill out the fields.
- Click Save.
Example of a channel structure with subnodes
To publish a channel
- Go to the channel you want to publish.
- In the entity toolbar, click Publish channel.
- When the channel is published, the blue box next to the channel name changes from unpublished to published. You may need to reload the browser to see the change.
To delete a channel
- Click the navigation menu on a channel.
- Click Delete.
To delete channel nodes in bulk
- Use the Query Editor and search for Entity Type + Equal + ChannelNode, Channel = [your channel].
- Select the channels nodes you wish to delete.
- Click Delete Selection in the navigation menu of your Query results (top right corner).
Note! Deleting a node this way will permanently delete it, as opposed to only removing the relation from a node without deleting it.

Can you please provide a few more channel node examples like the "Clothes for Spring and Summer"? We're trying to visualize how our drill down will look and don't want the end user to click through 60 times if they don't need to. Thanks!
Hi Hannah , thanks for the great input. I will forward this internally as a suggestion for more documentation.
I truly recommend that you post this question in the community part, and maybe link to this article as a reference?
