Link rules don't work

This article explains what to do if the link rules you set don't pull entities into the channel nodes.

Troubleshooting link rules

If link rules don't pull entities into channel nodes as expected, try each of the below troubleshooting steps in turn to see if the problem is solved before moving on to the next one.

• Exclude any data issues.
  • Create a test entity matching the link rule criterion and see if it's pulled in to the channel.
• Remove and recreate the LinkRule.
• Run the UpdateLinkRuleDefinitionsJob in Control Center.

• If a segment was set to the channel after the channel was created:

  1. Reset all segments on the channel and nodes.

  2. Declare all the segments again.

  3. Run the UpdateLinkRuleDefinitionsJob in Control Center.

• Synchronize the Channel.
• Rebuild the Channel.
