Does ResourceFilename need to be unique?

Is it a requirement for the name to be unique or can we have multiple images with the same name?

Answer

The ResourceFilename does not have to be unique. 

This is to enable different ways on how you are planning on working with resources. If there is a naming convention in place and how the receiving system is handling resources with the same file name those are the topics that one must question.
