Entities in inriver have internal SysID’s can we use them as an identifier in another application?

With the current setup of inriver we will never change the System IDs of entities in your system. The system id is created when a new entity is created and is always unique within your system and environment. When a backup is taken, it includes all parts of the entities. If a restore of a database is necessary, it always includes all the data and the system id will not change.

At the same time, we recommend to try to have implementation specific identifier, for example ProductID, SKU-number, EAN etc. Since the SysID is not that easily available for users in some parts of the application.
