Q: Where Do I Find Information about the Restyled UI and the Rollout Timeline?

Q: Why Are You Launching a Restyled UI instead of a New UI? What Is the Difference?
A. The launch of the new Dashboard and the restyled Enrich and Plan & Release is all about evolving, expanding, and aligning the current inRiver platform with the exciting content of our 2021 roadmap. New functionality and the latest technology are combined with our existing platform and provide a step-by-step move toward new capabilities. This builds a strong foundation for the introduction of new initiatives from our roadmap during 2021. We have a great year ahead!
Q: What Are the Main Differences between the Old and the Restyled UI?
Q: Where Can I Check Out the Restyled UI Ahead of Switching?
A. The restyled UI will be enabled in the inRiver demo environments at the end of March, when N-1 is deployed to customers. To get insights from inRiver about the changes, you can join one of the customer or partner webinars. Look out for the invites coming your way.
Q: Can I Book a Demo to Get a Detailed Walkthrough of the Restyled UI?
A. We will provide a lot of information in inRiver Community and other channels ahead of and during the rollout, including video walkthroughs of the restyled UI. Q: When Will the Restyled UI Be Rolled Out to Customers and Partners?
A. A detailed activity timeline will be communicated at the upcoming webinars. Stay tuned for more information via email, inRiver Community articles, and notifications in inRiver. The ambition is to have all customers moved to the restyled UI by the end of Q3, 2021.
Q: Will the Restyled UI Be Activated for All Customers at Once or One at a Time?
A. A toggle switch will be added in Control Center, allowing system administrators to turn the restyled UI server setting on or off. This will allow customers to decide themselves when to activate the restyled UI. More information about switching to the restyled UI will be shared with you so stay tuned.
Q: Can We Decide Which Date to Switch to the Restyled UI?
A. Yes. Talk to your PIM administrator to make sure they are up to date with the UI restyle rollout for your organization. We are aiming for a controlled rollout of the restyled UI, empowering customers to make the switch when they are ready. A toggle switch will be added in Control Center, allowing system administrators to turn the restyled UI server setting on or off. More information will be shared with you in the webinars as well as here in inRiver Community to keep you up to date with all the plans.
Q: I Want to Start Using the Restyled UI as Soon as Possible! What Do I Need to Do?
A. Your organization can activate the restyled UI in your environments with the N-2 release. You don’t have to sign up for a specific date and wait for inRiver to do the switch for you. All you have to do is use the new server setting in Control Center to turn the restyled UI on or off. Detailed instructions on how this is done will be provided in inRiver Community. If you need help or if you have questions, check the dedicated section in inRiver Community or reach out to the inRiver Restyle team.
Q: Do I Need to Sign Up to Get the Restyled UI?
A. No. You can enable the restyled UI yourself when you are ready. You won’t have to sign up for a specific date and wait for inRiver to do the switch for you. Talk to your PIM administrator to make sure they are up to date with the UI restyle rollout for your organization. Stay tuned for information about how to activate the restyled UI coming your way in inRiver Community.
Q: Will I Be Able to Toggle Back and Forth between the Old and the Restyled UI Once It's Enabled?
A. Yes. We will add a toggle switch in Control Center that allows system administrators to switch between the old and the restyled UI during a limited time. Once the old UI has been retired, it will no longer be available and it won't possible to switch back to the old UI anymore. We will share a lot more information about the possibility to switch between the old and the restyled UI as we communicate the rollout so stay tuned.
Q: Can I Opt Out and Stay On the Old UI?
A. No. All customers will have to make the move to the restyled UI. Moving to the new UI lets you take advantage of new functionality planned in our roadmap. These new features will not be available on the old UI. Remember that for the best user experience, it’s better to make the switch to the new UI.
Q: Will You Still Be Fixing Bugs in the Old UI? Is There an End of Maintenance Date?
A: There will be an end of maintenance date for the old UI. Any bugs or tickets raised after this time will not be fixed on the old UI. For the best user experience, it’s better to make the switch to the new UI. More information about the end of maintenance date will be shared in good time together with the activity timeline so keep an eye on your inbox.
Q: When Will the Old UI No Longer Be Available? Is There a Retirement Date?
A: There will be an end of maintenance date for the old UI. Any bugs or tickets raised after this time will not be fixed on the old UI. There will also be a planned retirement date for the old UI, sometime toward the end of Q3, 2021. More information about the activity timeline will be shared with you in the webinars as well as emails to keep you up to date with all the plans.
Q: Am I Able to Customize the New Dashboard to Make It More Relevant for My Team or Organization?
A. Customization of the Dashboard is a planned function on the roadmap. Until that is available, it’s not possible to change the layout of the dashboard.
Q: What Languages Can I Use in the Restyled UI?
A. The restyled user interface will be available in English, French, German, and Spanish. What's more, when presenting your product information you can choose from more than 800 supported model languages. Read about language options in this article. Q: Will the Restyled UI Affect Any Custom-Built Functions, Applications, or Extensions?
A. For any custom-built functions, applications or extensions please contact your partner for more information.
Q: What Kind of (How Much) Developer Work Do We Need to Put In to Adapt to the Restyled UI?
A. No additional developer effort should be required on your part. The restyled UI has been thoroughly tested by the inRiver QA team as well as by customers in the Beta program to ensure a seamless switch to the restyled UI. When you’ve activated your test environment, we recommend that you and your team test any custom-built functions, applications, or extensions. To get support and information about your customizations, contact your partner.
Q: How Should We Prepare for the Rollout of the Restyled UI?
A: We will provide a lot of information ahead of the rollout and the switch. Stay tuned to inRiver Community for information that will help you prepare and make the change as smooth as possible.
Q: What Training Is Available for the Restyled UI and Is There a Cost Associated?

Q: Will the Restyled UI Be Available to On-Prem Customers?

Q: I'm an On-Prem inRiver Customer That Will Migrate from On Prem to Cloud in 2021. Will I Get the Old or the Restyled UI?
A. New SaaS customers will get the restyled UI right away when migrating from on prem during the first half of 2021.
