This article describes how publications are managed in Plan & Release.
About publications
A Publication is an organized collection of entities that you want to publish as a printed matter, using inriver Print and Adobe inDesign®. Publication is also the name of an entity type with built-in support in inriver.
The content of a publication is structured into sections. Sections are the equivalent to nodes in a channel.
The main difference between a channel and a publication is that a publication is intended specifically for print in Adobe inDesign® while a channel is about publishing entities to any place.
Note: inriver Print must be configured in Control Center > Print before you can start using all the Print features.
