Channels
The Channels widget shows a list of five channels that are either Published or Unpublished. The list of Published channels is shown as default but you can easily switch to the Unpublished channels category by clicking the header.
The channels are presented as entity cards with the channel name as heading. If completeness is set up for any of the entity types included in the channel, a progress bar that shows the overall completeness of all entities in the channel is shown. If no completeness is set up, the progress bar is not shown.
- Click the entity card to open the channel in Plan & Release.
- Right-click the entity card to open the channel in a new tab or window.
Note: The list of displayed channels is based on the SysID of the channel in the inriver database. This means that the widget list always shows the five oldest channels in the database within each category. It also means that the widget list won't change until a listed channel is deleted. |
The channels window
Click the Channels widget header to open a list of all your Published or Unpublished channels in a separate window. The first channel in the list is selected as default.
The Channels window contains panels with detailed information about the content of each channel.
To open the channel in Plan & Release, click the Open in Plan & Release button. Right-click the button to open the channel in a new tab or window.
Channel completeness
The overall completeness of the channel is presented as a chart and is calculated based on the number of Completed entities and the Total number of entities that are in scope for completeness within the channel.
Panels
Each entity type that can be linked to a channel has a separate panel in the Channels window. The panel header shows the entity type name and a small completeness chart.
The completeness for a specific entity type is calculated based on the number of Completed entities of that type and the Total number of entities of that type within the channel.
Note: If completeness is set up for an entity type, the number of Completed entities and the completeness chart for that entity are shown. If no completeness is set up, the information is not shown. |
