This article explains how to download content and generate a ZIP file with the content in Content Store.
To download content via email
- In Content Store, add the content you want to download to your cart.
- Optional: Click My Cart to view the content of the cart.
- Click the Download button in your cart or on the Content Store overview page.
- In the Download cart popup, select the options that apply to your download.
- Select which file format (CSV or XLSX) to use for the data file in the ZIP download.
- Select how resources are to be represented (Files or URL) in the downloaded file.
- Select which resource formats to use for the resources in the downloaded file. For URLs, only one format can be selected. For files, multiple formats can be selected. The options that are available for your organization are configured in the Content Store back end.
- Select which ZIP configuration to use when downloading your cart.
- Click the Email download link button to generate an email with a link to a ZIP file with the entities in your cart and related information about media.
Note: The email is sent to the logged-in Content Store user.

To download content as a ZIP file

Good to know
- It's only possible to download one cart at a time. While a download job is running, the Download your cart button remains greyed out.
- If you click the Email download link button while another download job is running, the jobs are not queued. You get a notification (see screenshot below) and an email, and an error is logged.
- If you have fields in your data with line breaks and/or double quotation marks your .csv files might look strange if you open them in excel. This is expected and if you need to work manually with the data we recommend using .xlsx instead.
Column sort order in exported files
By default, columns in exported Excel files are sorted based on the field type index of your Elastic Data Model, found in Control Center > Model > Fields.
Note: Only users with an assigned administrator role can access the Content Store back end in the Web Portal and Control Center.
The first column in the exported Excel file contains information about entity type, see screenshot below.
Note: If the Excel file is exported using a ZIP configuration, the index of the file is based on the order of how the fields were added in the configuration in Content Store, see screenshot below.
