This article gives an overview of what Intelligent Linking is and how to use it in Enrich.
About intelligent linking
Intelligent Linking allows you to automatically include/exclude links between entities, based on predefined rules and/or queries. Intelligent Linking eliminates the manual aspect of linking entities by applying predefined criteria for when a link should exist.
Intelligent Linking can be configured in Enrich and Plan & Release , or through the DataService API. The configuration is defined per entity and outbound LinkType.
Rules and/or queries can be used to specify if and when a link should exist. Rules specify that a field should have a certain value while queries define which entities should be linked.
Intelligent linking in inriver Enrich
In Enrich, Intelligent Linking can be created for each outbound LinkType.
To configure a link rule in inriver Enrich
- In Enrich, open an entity and click the Includes tab.
- Click the entity type navigation menu and click Configure link rule.
- This opens up Configure Link Rule for [EntityType] editing view where you can set rules using rules and queries.
- In the Link type field, select the LinkTypeId for the Intelligent Linking.
Deleting a link rule
When a link rule is deleted, any links created by the link rule will remain and have to be deleted manually. If a new link rule is added, the result will overwrite any existing links.
