This article illustrates an example to help the user understand the validation error if needed when using Excel Import. This article only illustrates one example.
Example of when validation error occurs
1. A user in inriver has tried to import an Excel-file, using the Import data-feature.
2. The job is completed, but is marked with Yellow and a warning sign.
3. The user downloads the Error-report in the form of an Excel-file.
4. In the file, the affected entities are shown with the Validation Error - Entity has already been updated in File. Example seen below:
Potential cause
The entities has a field set to Unique in inriver Control Center.
In the case of the example above, the Unique field is Product Name.
Solution
Go to inriver Control Center then find the model for the entities that are not being updated (You can locate these by using the number from the sys_id column in the error-report) and un-check the unique-box for said field.
Keep in mind
Please make sure that the field is not used in any extension and/or work process where it's uniqueness is essential.
