Problem
Entities with media files are not showing.
Instead of a picture there's a broken-file icon.
Either one specific view is displaying the broken-file-icon, or all the instances are showing the icon.
Broken-file-icon
Causes
There are 2 potential cause as to why a media file is shown as broken in inriver.
Cause 1 - Incorrect Image Configuration
The image-configuration for the resource's file-extension is incorrectly configured.
Solution
Correct the configuration.
If the configuration is set up proper, then look for spelling errors and/or extra spaces between dashes (-) and a configuration in the arguments column.
Cause 2 - Non-Defined File Extension have Been Uploaded as a Resource File.
Since the Image Configuration is applied on resources based on the file extension at the end of the file (JPEG, PNG .etc) the files that are uploaded need to have a file extension defined at the end. Otherwise, thumbnails, previews are not guaranteed to work in inriver.
Example:
Incorrect file name without a extension at the end: ThisIsNotAPicture
Proper file name with correct extension: ThisIsAPicture.jpeg
Notice the dot (.) and the filename at the end.
Solution
1. Delete the resource with the incorrect file extension.
2. Re-upload the file with the correct file extensions at the end of the file.
3. Refresh the page.
