Inriver is moving towards more incremental, smaller releases to better and faster accommodate our customers. With smaller, more frequent releases, Inriver will be able to increase the quality and transparency of the releases and identify and mitigate any erroneous behavior that may be caused by the release much faster.

New Features
AI Enhancements of images
This feature is available on the new media experience for customers using Inspire.
Media now lets you edit and adapt images with AI, right inside the PIM. Describe the change you want in plain language, such as a new background, better image quality, or a version for a specific market or channel. You no longer need a separate image-editing tool.
Open an asset in Media, select the AI enhancements tab, and write your request. You can add up to three reference images to show what you’re aiming for. Check the result against the original, then save it to the asset or download it. Your earlier requests and results are kept, so you can switch between them and reuse what worked. You can also let a request run in the background while you keep working.
Note: AI enhancements are included with Inspire at no extra license cost. They use your AI credits, and every attempt uses credits, including repeats. Results can differ each time, so always review before saving. You need Inspire and the new Media experience, and activation must be requested, including for existing Inspire customers. Access is controlled by the new MediaAssetAiEnhancements permission, which your administrator assigns to roles. Saving as a new asset or overwriting an asset also requires the existing AddFile, AddEntity and UpdateEntity permissions.
Who benefits: Content, localization, e-commerce, and marketing teams that adapt product images for different markets and channels.
Access: AI enhancements tab in the media view, Media management in PIM Portal.
Dynamic Image Transformations
This feature is available on the new media experience for customers using Inrivers Media Asset CDN.
Media now lets you request different versions of an image by adding simple instructions to its Asset URL. You can resize, crop, convert the format, adjust quality, or add a watermark. Your original image stays unchanged, and you don’t have to create and maintain separate copies for each channel.
Each channel gets the image size, format, and quality it needs, so there is less repetitive image preparation. Your existing Asset URLs keep working. Activation applies to the whole environment, and there is no new interface, no new user permission, and no migration of existing assets.
Note: Dynamic image transformations are included at no additional license fee for customers with the Media Asset CDN add-on and the new media experience. Contact your Inriver Support or your Customer Success Manager to learn more.
Who benefits: Manufacturers, brands, and retailers that deliver product images to websites, marketplaces, and partner systems, and the partners who connect to them through integrations.
Access: Available through Asset URLs for media in PIM Portal, once activated for your environment.
Improvements
Bulk download media assets from the Media tab
The “Download selected” button on an entity’s Media tab now opens a menu. You can download your selected assets as a ZIP of the original files, or apply one or more predefined transformations first, for example Preview or Thumbnail.
Select assets individually, using Ctrl/Shift+Click or with “Select all on page”, to choose what to download. You can combine original files and several transformations in one download. The menu shows how many files and folders the ZIP will contain before you confirm. This is available for customers using the new Media Experience.
Who benefits: Marketing and brand teams, and key users who fulfil bulk asset requests from stakeholders for a single entity.
Bulk download of media assets from search results/work areas
You can now download many media files at once straight from a search result or work area. Select resources with the checkboxes in grid or table view, open the ••• menu and choose “Download selected media assets”. Everything is packaged in a single ZIP-file with a folder per selected transformation.
Choose original files, one transformation or several, as you do on the Media tab. The option appears only when Resource entities are selected. This is available for customers using the new Media Experience.
Who benefits: Marketing and brand teams, and key users who fulfil bulk asset requests from stakeholders for a larger set of resources.
Bug fixes
These two recently deployed hotfixes address issues in the new media experience, aligning its behavior with that of classic Media.
| # | Area | Fix |
| 1 | Media tab | Users whose login email was saved with different letter casing (e.g. Ken.Smith@abc123.com vs. ken.smith@abc123.com) could get stuck on an endless loading screen when opening the Media tab in PIM Portal. Portal session lookup is now case-insensitive, so Media Asset Management is accessible regardless of email casing. |
| 2 | Events | Asset events, such as entity creation and link changes, now reach workflows and extension listeners consistently. Previously, an extension listening for entity creation was not triggered for new Media assets. Events are now sent for uploads and save-as, for external file replacements, and for link reordering, which includes full link details. |

I do not see these changes in my Inriver - when will it be available?
I am mostly thinking about the Media Download possibilities.
I have enabled the permissions in the control center and added to the Administrator role but I can't find the AI enhancements tab in the Media section of a product. Am I missing something?
Hi, you need to have the new media experience that was launched in September enabled in your environment to be able to get access to these new features. Please contact Inriver support or your Customer Success Manager when you are ready to have it enabled.
Once it is enabled, the new functionality will replace the existing experience on the media tab for each entity and on the screens where you upload media, and the new features and improvements described here.
