Getting the right product information into the hands of retailers, marketplaces, and partners is harder than it looks. Each endpoint has its own requirements, formats, and rules, and those rules change constantly. For many organizations, syndication has become a patchwork of manual processes, spreadsheets, and one-off integrations that consume time and introduce risk.
Successful syndication requires a solution that’s not only efficient and effective at distributing content in the right formats but is also equipped to deal with the full complexity of your product data. In other words, you need syndication that’s as adaptable as your product data itself. Inriver unites a powerful PIM core with every syndication path - native, partner-powered, or your own - so you can deliver content anywhere without compromise.
The Heart of Your Product Syndication Network
Syndicate Advance is built to simplify and scale the distribution of trusted product content across an ever-expanding network of endpoints. Instead of forcing brands into a single method, Syndicate Advance embraces the complexity of syndication and offers a flexible network approach: direct integrations, partner-powered endpoints, and file-based delivery all working together. It’s all about finding the most efficient way to deliver your centralized, enriched product information to every place that it needs to go.
At its core, Syndicate Advance is about helping brands take control of their digital shelves. It ensures that accurate, enriched, and validated product data reaches each retailer or marketplace in the right format and at the right time. This translates directly into business value:
- Faster speed to market: Reduce delays by automating data preparation and delivery.
- Fewer costly rejections: Validate and optimize content before it leaves the PIM.
- Greater reach and flexibility: Deliver to a wide network of endpoints, from major retailers to long-tail marketplaces.
- Operational efficiency: Save time and reduce manual effort across teams.
- Business resilience: Adapt quickly as requirements change, without costly rebuilds.
These outcomes matter not just to PIM administrators, but to commercial teams, marketers and everyone within your organization who needs confidence that your products will always appear correctly, consistently, and competitively online.
Future-Ready: Adapt to Any Endpoint with Ease
Syndicate Advance is not a point solution. It’s a network that combines:
- Direct integrations with leading retailers and marketplaces, where Inriver maintains a live API connection.
- Partner-powered endpoints through providers such as ChannelEngine, extending reach across 950+ global channels.
- File-based delivery methods for situations where APIs are not the right fit. This includes delivery of flat files via FTP, SFTP, or email where the need arises.
- Existing customer tools where organizations want to maintain established syndication partners but benefit from Inriver’s validation and transformation capabilities.
This multi-path approach means customers can mix and match the delivery methods that work best for their business. It’s about choice, reach, and resilience, ensuring there’s always a way to deliver product data in the format and flow required.
Features That Deliver Confidence and Efficiency
The strength of Syndicate Advance lies not just in how it delivers, but in how it leverages the power of the Inriver PIM to prepare content for delivery:
- Map once, reuse often: Map attributes to retailer requirements a single time, then reuse across products, categories, and future syndications.
- Transform data flexibly: Use formulas and regular expressions with Expression Engine to adapt content to specific needs without duplicating data.
- Validate before sending: Reduce rejections with pre-delivery checks that flag issues and suggest corrections.
- Automate at scale: Schedule syndications, export mappings, and streamline recurring deliveries to reduce repetitive work.
Together, these capabilities help teams deliver with confidence, knowing that what reaches retailers is correct, consistent, and optimized.
The Bigger Picture: Measure and Optimize Every Digital Shelf
Syndication doesn’t stop at delivery with Syndicate Advance. By connecting with Inriver’s digital shelf analytics, organizations can monitor product presence, accuracy, and compliance across endpoints. This creates a closed feedback loop: deliver product content, measure how it performs, and feed insights back into syndication for continuous improvement.
It’s a virtuous cycle - deliver, measure, optimize - that builds stronger connections between brands, retailers, and customers.
Feature Spotlight: The Latest From Syndicate Advance
Here are some of the recent enhancements we’ve added to drive syndication efficiency:
New APIs for Four Leading Retailers (Added March 2026)
Syndicate Advance now includes direct API integrations with Wayfair, Home Depot, Walmart, and Perigold, making it even easier to get your product content onto some of North America's largest retail and B2B platforms.
These new connections support first-party (1P) syndication, replacing the manual effort of preparing and distributing flat files. Instead, product data flows directly from your PIM to each retailer's API in the format they require — automatically, and at scale. Submission status tracking and built-in validation feedback help you catch issues early, so you spend less time troubleshooting rejections and more time selling.
Validation Mode For API Syndication (Added March 2026)
The new validation mode allows you to test your syndication data against the retailer's own rules and get their feedback before publishing, giving you a clear view of any issues at SKU level and faster issue resolution. It’s available now across all supported API channels.
Even when product data passes initial validation checks, retailers often apply additional rules on their end that can cause submissions to fail. Validation Mode lets you send your data to the retailer's API for a dry run: you get the retailer's own feedback without making anything live. You can review any issues, correct them in your PIM, and publish with confidence when you're ready.
All feedback is surfaced in a new errors and feedback table within the Syndicate Advance UI, giving you a clear, SKU-level view of exactly what needs attention. The result is fewer failed submissions, faster issue resolution, and a smoother path from PIM to shelf.
The screenshots below show how Validation Mode is activated, and how the feedback is displayed:
Expansion of Amazon API Support (Added January 2026)
Syndicate Advance now offers even further reach across one of the biggest and most influential digital shelves in the world: Amazon. To support brands appearing on Amazon through multiple selling models, we’re introducing expanded global coverage for both first party (1P) and third party (3P) syndication. Your organization may be making use of a 1P approach (supplying products directly to Amazon as a vendor through Vendor Central), a 3P approach (selling through the Amazon Marketplace via Seller Central) or a hybrid of both. Regardless of how your products reach Amazon, maintaining correct, consistent product detail pages (PDPs) is critical for conversion, compliance, and brand presentation.
For 3P scenarios, Syndicate Advance now supports Amazon content patching, allowing brands to update PDP elements such as titles, bullets, specifications, and images even when they are not the seller of record. This provides much greater control over product accuracy and presentation, reducing the need for resellers to make manual updates and helping protect your brand across the marketplace. By using Inriver as the single source of truth, teams can ensure that PDP content stays aligned with the latest approved information.
For 1P syndication, we’re extending our existing Amazon integration to support all global regions where Amazon offers it, enabling brands to publish Vendor Central content internationally using the same streamlined workflow they already use today. This reduces the manual effort required to manage Vendor Central updates across multiple regions and keeps product content consistent worldwide.
Together, these updates unify 1P and 3P workflows within Syndicate Advance, giving brands a single, scalable solution to manage Amazon content across markets.
Email as a delivery method (Added November 2025)
Not every channel or partner supports file-based delivery via API or direct integrations. And sometimes the simplest solution is the best. With Syndicate Advance, users can select “Email” as a delivery method when syndicating content. Here’s a preview of how it works:
Once a syndication run is complete, the files are automatically emailed to the initiating user and any designated recipients. This provides instant access, makes it easy to forward files to your team or partners, and saves time by reducing the need to log back into the PIM to download results.
Pre-syndication review (Added November 2025)
Confidence begins before delivery. The review step in Syndicate Advance offers a smoother user experience when validating content prior to syndication, reducing errors and rework. Users can:
- Run a pre-syndication review and choose to syndicate all items or only those that pass.
- Download a detailed Excel report of flagged issues for quick team action.
- Jump directly to the relevant mapping to resolve errors without wasted searching.
- Benefit from inline explanations that guide corrections.
This smarter, more actionable review process saves time, builds trust in outputs, and ensures teams send retailers product data that meets expectations the first time.
Direct Best Buy API connection (Added Summer 2025)
The direct API connection gives you fast access to selling with Best Buy, one of North America’s leading retailers. This integration eliminates manual file transfers and ensures high-quality product information flows directly and efficiently into Best Buy’s systems. It’s a clear demonstration of the network in action: adding a major retailer endpoint and giving brands a faster, more reliable path to digital shelf presence.
