Inriver’s September 2025 product release is here, bringing together some of our most impactful enhancements yet.
From Content to Commerce: Faster, Smarter, Everywhere
With new AI-powered features, expanded ecosystem integrations, and faster onboarding capabilities, this month’s updates are designed to help you deliver product content into every channel with greater speed, accuracy, and confidence.
If you’re currently using Inspire, Workflows, Syndicate Advance or the latest iteration of Brand Store, you’ll be able to access some or all of these new features immediately. If not, you can speak to your Inriver Customer Success Manager about upgrading to take advantage of all this functionality.
Here’s what’s new for your business this month:
AI-Powered Innovation: Faster Workflows, Smarter Outcomes
Inriver continues to lead the PIM field in applying Artificial Intelligence to solve reach product content challenges. This month we’re introducing a host of new features to Inriver Inspire that enable you to:
- Reduce Onboarding Effort as AI-powered data mapping and data validation comes to Content Onboarding.
- Save time with new AI-powered workflow agents that will automatically trigger the content generation and translation capabilities of Inspire.
- Protect your brand with generative AI prompts that incorporate your own translation glossaries and brand style guides
- Stay up to date with support for the latest GPT-5 models (GPT-5-mini and GPT-5-nano) that help you balance response times with deeper thinking
- Optimize your AI usage with built-in tools that help you write better prompts for your content creation tasks.
Meanwhile, all Inriver customers can now more easily share PIM data with AI-tools like chatbots, recommendation engines, and analytics systems as we add support for Model Context Protocol (MCP).

Ecosystem Growth: More Channels, More Reach
Our ecosystem continues to grow, giving you faster access to more sales channels. We now have full support for the Best Buy API in Syndicate Advance. This direct integration allows you to bring your products to market with one of North America's leading retailers, reaching new shoppers with less effort, helping you drive revenue growth.
This is a great example of Inriver’s unified approach to syndication which combines the best of Direct APIs (like Best Buy), native syndication support within Inriver, and support for strategic syndication partners like ChannelEngine.

Smarter Content Onboarding: Speed In the Face of Complexity
The AI-powered data mapping and validation we’ve already mentioned aren’t the only enhancements to Content Onboarding this month. We’ve also added support for onboarding Link Entity Models, supporting automatic creation of bundles, kits, and other groups of related products. This addition means even customers with the most complex product relationships can onboard faster and at scale, without compromising on accuracy.
Uploading media files also becomes easier now you can import image URLs from your data files and auto-link them to your data model. You can choose whether to store media within the PIM or as external references.

Performance Investments: A Faster Brand Store
The latest iteration of Brand Store is now backed by a content delivery network (CDN) for improved performance at scale. Whether you’re sharing product content internally or externally, media assets in all your storefronts will load faster and more reliably no matter where your audience is located.
If you’d like to explore moving to the new version of Brand Store, please contact your Customer Success Manager or Account Manager.
Coming Soon: A Redesigned Experience
Looking ahead, we’re excited to share that a major UI redesign is on the way. These improvements will make Inriver even more intuitive and efficient. The new-look UI will be an “opt-in” experience for all users, so you’ll have time to train your team before there’s any change to their ways of working. Stay tuned for details!
That’s it for the September product release. We’ll have more for you in October, including enhancements to our workflow capabilities, exciting additions to our syndication network, and further details of the UI redesign.
In the meantime, you can find details of smaller feature releases and bug fixes in our weekly technical release notes.
