It’s time for our monthly review of the most recent inriver product releases, where we delve into the more practical benefits behind the technical details.
This month’s update includes enhancements to Table View, Inspire, Workflow, and Control Center, all designed to boost productivity, user experience, and system efficiency.
Greater control and faster workflows in Table View
This month, Table View continues to evolve as a powerful workspace for managing product data. You can now:
- Reorder media assets directly in Table View, which gives you better control over how images appear in downstream channels, such as ecommerce listings.
- Use Inriver Inspire directly in Table View to generate new content.
- Download media resources quickly by right-clicking any media cell—ideal for fast asset retrieval.
-
Open linked entities more easily using drag-and-drop directly from the left-hand panel, and view the link order thanks to the new “Includes” tab index display.
Table View also loads faster and displays info icons for field descriptions, helping users understand the context of each field at a glance. For a deeper look at these enhancements—including improvements to media management, Inspire, and shareable workspaces. Read this article to learn more.
Inspire—now in more places, with better performance
Inspire has become more powerful and easier to use this month:
- Inspire is now embedded in the Details tab, giving users seamless access to AI-powered content generation right where they edit product data. This speeds up your operational processes and brings automation into your everyday tasks. Learn more in this article.
- The Table View integration for Inspire also gets smarter: it now updates token usage instantly and shows real-time progress during bulk actions, helping teams work more confidently and efficiently.
Better workflow management and richer guidance
The Workflow module now helps your teams stay aligned and efficient:
- Workflow instructions can now be shown as rich text, allowing you to clearly format steps and expectations with bullet points, bold text, and more.
- Workflows now support the new Enhanced Workspace type, enabling tighter alignment between workspace views and workflow steps.
- A new “Refresh” button makes it easier to retrieve newly created queries during setup—no need to switch context or reload the page.
These updates reduce confusion, shorten setup times, and support smoother collaboration across teams.
You can now also define some workflows that can be manually triggered by users, if your business needs require it. More on that here.
Fresh new user experience in Control Center
We’ve brought a whole new look to Control Center! A new interface toggle allows users to switch between the classic and modern Control Center look and feel so you can try out the new look.
For a closer look at the refreshed Control Center experience and a sneak preview of how the new look will be rolled-out to other parts of the Inriver portal, read our dedicated article.
We’ve also added the ability to hide unused dashboard widgets to streamline the Control Center experience for your team. And there’s increased transparency as we now display who created or modified items like Packages and Extensions.
Continued improvements across the board
- Print 2.0 now exports large configurations more reliably, improves overnight performance, and ensures correct file names in Microsoft Edge.
- Expression Engine introduces a new Completeness rule based on custom expressions—allowing more nuanced control over your data quality metrics.
- Numerous bug fixes have improved consistency across Enrich, Table View, and the REST API, ensuring a more stable and accurate platform experience.
That’s it for this month’s summary. If you’d like to know more about the details behind these enhancements, you can read our technical release notes at any time.
