It’s time for our monthly review of the most recent inriver product releases, where we delve into the more practical benefits behind the technical details.
This month’s update includes improvements to data usability in Table View, smarter automation with the Expression Engine, and better content management through Inspire and Brand Store updates.
More power and precision in Table View
Managing product information at scale just got easier. April’s updates introduce multiple enhancements to Table View that streamline your day-to-day tasks:
- Faster, focused exports: You can now export only the rows you select, giving you more control and saving time when working with large data sets.
- Enhanced visibility: The Entity column is now always visible to avoid accidental hiding of key data. Locked fields are also clearly marked, so users immediately understand where changes are restricted.
- Smoother UI: Several improvements to workspace display, button alignment, and multi-language text boxes ensure a cleaner, more consistent experience.
Smarter automation with the Expression Engine
Expression Engine continues to evolve, offering new ways to automate and personalize your product content management:
- Smarter segmentation: A new function allows you to retrieve and display the name of a product segment dynamically - ideal for tailoring product views.
- Enhanced data handling: New functions like FIELDVALUES, TEXTSPLIT, and TEXTJOIN let you manipulate and transform data more efficiently. Whether you're combining or splitting strings of text, or filtering fields by category, automation just became more flexible.
- Excel integration: Expressions now show up in Excel exports, allowing for clearer reporting and easier collaboration across teams.
- Improved performance: New limits on expression size and validation improvements help ensure your automations are both powerful and stable.
Better content management in Brand Store and Inspire
- Broader file support: Users can now preview PSD and EPS files directly in Brand Store, making it easier for creative teams and end users to review assets quickly without downloading.
- Targeted language control: In Inspire, you can now accept or reject AI-generated content for each language individually. This makes it easier for international teams to collaborate while retaining control over localized content.
Boosted data governance and platform reliability
A number of behind-the-scenes improvements made this month will support your long-term data consistency and security:
- Clearer visibility of changes in Control Center thanks to new "Created By" and "Modified By" fields.
- System warnings now help prevent conflicts between Completeness Rules and Channel Syncs.
- Updates across the platform ensure fields, filters, and exports behave as expected, even in complex, multilingual environments.
That’s it for this month’s summary. If you’d like to know more about the details behind these enhancements, you can read our technical release notes at any time.
