Transforming digital shelf data into decisions has never been easier! Announcing a new way to seamlessly connect the valuable data generated by Evaluate, our digital shelf analytics (DSA) solution, with your third-party systems.
This data is now available via the inriver REST API, enabling you to share digital shelf insights directly with your ERP, CRM and BI tools. This eliminates the need to manually export data to spreadsheets for further processing, improving efficiency and enabling more dynamic, data-driven decisions across your business.
Evaluate data insights delivered direct to where you need them most
Evaluate’s automated analysis gives you essential data points on how your products are performing on external marketplace, retail and syndication partner sites. These include information such as visibility, stock status, price, and reviews per market and channel. Now you can enjoy benefits including:
- Centralized Reporting: Integrate digital shelf analytics into dashboards and reports in tools like Power BI for consolidated company reporting.
- Proactive Inventory Management: Automatically feed out-of-stock data into your ERP or CRM systems to trigger timely replenishment.
- Streamlined Data Access: Get insights on-demand from your familiar tools, without labor-intensive downloads and uploads.
How does it work?
Evaluate data is transferred to the PIM daily and stored for 24 hours. This gives you a full day to pull the latest data points into your external systems using the new API calls. This approach limits the data sets per API call to safeguard overall PIM performance.
The new API calls are granular. Each target system can pull only the dataset it requires, optimizing performance and usability. For example, your Business Intelligence tool may need all your Evaluate data, while the ERP may only need information on stock.
Customers and partners who are already working with inriver REST API will not need any additional credentials or API keys to get started using the new API calls.
The new APIs in action with Power BI
The screenshot below shows Evaluate data surfaced in Microsoft’s Power BI, the leading business intelligence tool (Source: Gartner Magic Quadrant for Analytics and Business Intelligence solutions, June 2024).
Here, Power BI has been configured to display stocking and pricing information that’s filterable per retailer, brand, country and product to inform inventory and restocking decisions as well as monitor price compliance:
Future Roadmap for Your DSA Optimization Loop
This is the first step in a broader roadmap to fully integrate Evaluate insights into your workflows and systems, powering a full optimization loop. Upcoming releases planned for the first half of 2025 will include:
- Workflow Automation: Using Evaluate insights to trigger actions within the inriver PIM, such as notifying teams to address missing product images on a marketplace.
- Syndication Feedback: Combining Evaluate data with Syndicate Plus to identify discrepancies between syndication output and the content shown on each shelf.
