It’s time for our monthly review of the most recent inriver product releases, where we examine the practical benefits behind the technical details.
Breaking News: Expression Engine is now Live!
Before we dive into the November releases, we want to make sure you haven’t missed the exciting launch of Expression Engine which happened right at the start of December. This powerful new automation feature is now available in all inriver environments, enabling you to quickly and easily configure automated data calculations without custom code.
If you haven’t heard about the game-changing benefits of Expression Engine, including increased efficiency, improved data quality, and greater transparency, be sure to check out our launch announcement in Community.
Brand Store Search Gets Smarter, User Management Gets Easier
It’s now even easier for Brand Store end users to find the products they are looking for in your catalogs with new partial term search functionality. At the same time, we’ve made it possible to bulk-manage user access to storefronts for increased efficiency.
You can find out more about both these new features in our Community article.
Other enhancements to Brand Store this month include the addition of a confirmation prompt before it’s possible to delete a PDF template that’s currently in use. This reduces your risk of accidentally disrupting the storefront end user experience.
Workflow Automation: A New Level of Precision
Workflows are smarter and more flexible than ever! Developers can now include assignment IDs as query parameters, offering more control over Enrich workspace configurations.
Restrictions on workflow usage are also now signposted more clearly. Updated messaging highlights the number of workflows that can be configured in each environment, improving user awareness and system transparency.
Boosting Performance and Usability in Syndicate Plus
As part of the syndication process to partners and marketplaces, you can now quickly refine mandatory and recommended columns in the preflight validation checks, improving data quality assurance processes. You can also now view media assets directly within the platform, streamlining content review processes.
Print 2.0: Expanding Integration and Efficiency
Print 2.0 now supports exporting print jobs in multiple formats, enhancing compatibility with external systems like websites, e-commerce platforms, and Power BI. This increased flexibility facilitates seamless integration into your existing workflows.
Additionally, nighttime print tasks are now optimized for faster completion and reduced system load, ensuring smoother execution of high-volume print jobs.
Key Security Enhancement to Remoting API
To safeguard your system and data integrity, the Remoting API now has restrictions that prevent unauthorized modification of Administrator roles via API. This enhances account security and prevents attempted account takeovers.
Usability Improvements Across the Platform
In the Portal, persistent scroll behavior after saving an entity improved usability. You’ll now return to the same position in a list as you were before saving your change. Optimized search performance also delivers faster, more responsive queries for better productivity.
That’s it for this month’s summary. If you’d like to know more about the details behind these enhancements, you can read our technical release notes at any time.
