It’s time for our monthly review of the most recent inriver product releases, where we delve into the more practical benefits behind the technical details.
This month’s update includes enhancements to Brand Store and the latest developments in our workflows functionality.
Spotlight on usability and efficiency in Brand Store
Brand Store has two new time-saving features that will benefit end users when they are exploring your product range. You can now shortcut the search process in your digital storefronts by directing end users to a specific range of products. The Brand Store search bar now accepts multi-value queries based on comma separated lists of unique attributes.
And if you share brochures, datasheets, or other documents via Brand Store, users can now preview these PDFs within the storefront without the need to download.
You can find out more about these two new features in this Community article.
Additional updates to Brand Store this month offer:
- Increased clarity when end users apply filters to find items within your product catalog. The number of results per facet is now more clearly displayed.
- A better user experience when you manage your range of Brand Stores. A new set of on-screen notifications shows the progress of storefront deletions.
Additional trigger for automated workflows
You can now configure workflows based on a new trigger. You can use the Completeness Rule Complete trigger to assign approvals and content management tasks as soon as all necessary fields have been filled correctly for an entity or product.
You can also stay up to date on the progress of your workflows, for faster decision-making, thanks to a redesign of the workflow summary email. The new-look emails provide a clearer and more concise summary of activities per workflow. They are sent automatically to specified addresses 10 minutes after any workflow is triggered.
Following your feedback, we have also resolved an issue that was preventing some users from creating workflows even though they had relevant permissions within the PIM.
Optimizing the efficiency of Print 2.0
Many of you choose to process your print tasks overnight. With this in mind, we have adjusted the way Print 2.0 executes night-time tasks for greater efficiency. The optimizations are leading to faster completion times and reduced system load.
That’s it for this month’s summary. If you’d like to know more about the details behind these enhancements, you can read our technical release notes at any time.
