Release notes: August 31st - September 4th, 2024

inriver is moving towards more incremental, smaller releases to accommodate our customers better and faster. With smaller, more frequent releases, inriver will be able to increase the quality and transparency of the releases and identify and mitigate any erroneous behavior that may be caused by the release much faster. 

Please see below for the deployed features and improvements:

• Remoting nuget 8.15.1 is now published to nuget.org:  (https://www.nuget.org/packages/inRiver.Remoting.iPMC/)
• It has been implemented that the input for SellerId is now required when configuring the Amazon connection in Syndicate Plus.

Please see below for the deployed bug fixes:

• We have applied a solution to ensure that the following methods in remoting are optimized by querying only the 'SpecificationFieldTypes' corresponding to the relevant 'SpecificationFields', rather than retrieving all 'SpecificationFieldTypes' :

  • GetSpecificationField
  • GetSpecificationFieldsForEntity
    
  • UpdateSpecificationField

  This optimization improves the response time for querying and updating specification fields, resulting in better performance and efficiency within remoting.

• We have applied a solution to ensure that the issue preventing the viewing of details for specific products in Syndicate Plus has been resolved.
• We have applied a solution to ensure that error messages are consistent regardless of whether the extension is run locally or in the uploaded environment. This fix addresses discrepancies in error reporting between these two contexts, ensuring that error messages are accurately reflected and uniformly displayed.
• We have applied a solution to ensure that error notifications are more informative and user-friendly when performing A+ Template previews within the Syndicate Plus system. This fix enhances the clarity of error messages
• We have applied a solution to ensure that the graphics bug in the A+ Template editor within Syndicate Plus has been fixed
• We have applied a solution to ensure that Brandstore now restricts PDF downloads to a single language selection per PDF. This update addresses the issue of multiple PDF pop-up windows and prevents the display of unexpected trash characters when multiple languages are selected. The enhancement improves the user experience by streamlining the download process and ensuring the integrity of the PDF content.

• We have applied a solution to ensure that the 'GetAllCatalogStructuresPaged' method now functions correctly when fetching catalog structures, preventing the publication failures that were previously occurring.

• We have applied a solution to ensure that occasional startup failures resulting in a white screen within Syndicate Plus have been resolved. This solution addresses the issue of the application sometimes failing to load properly.
• We have applied a solution to ensure that LocaleString history correctly reflects updates, addressing the issue caused by the presence of null values in the 'Value'  column of 'FieldRevisionHistory'. This fix ensures that all changes to LocaleString entries are properly tracked and displayed, improving the accuracy and reliability of historical data.
• We have applied a solution to ensure that RegExp field validation in Enrich is now properly enforced during Excel imports. This fix resolves the issue where validation rules are being ignored, ensuring that imported data complies with the defined RegExp field constraints, and improving data integrity and consistency.
• We have applied a solution to ensure that non-image assets in Brandstore now have a fallback icon and can be downloaded as intended. This fix addresses the issue of blank spaces previously appearing for non-image assets, enhancing the overall user experience by providing a consistent and functional display for all asset types.
