Release notes: July 20th - July 21st, 2024

inriver is moving towards more incremental, smaller releases to be able to accommodate our customers in a better and faster way. With smaller, more frequent releases, inriver will be able to increase the quality and transparency of the releases and identify and mitigate any erroneous behavior that may be caused by the release much faster. 

Please see below for the deployed features and improvements:

• For our Syndicate Plus users, adding an A+ label to A+ assigned products in the preview has now been implemented.
• For our Syndicate Plus users, adding a confirm dialog has now been implemented when deleting syndicate collections.
• For our Syndicate Plus users, adding a confirm dialog has now been implemented when deleting A+ templates.
• We have applied a solution to ensure that Remoting can now verify the correct casing of CVL IDs during field type updates by retrieving the correct CVL ID from the database, irrespective of casing discrepancies.
• Partner developers can now remove all links for an entity link type in a single operation. This enhancement facilitates the efficient removal of obsolete links between entities.
• We have applied a solution to ensure resource optimization on CPU level for Remoting call EntityExistsInChannel. This update results in more efficient processing and reduced CPU usage when checking for entity existence in a channel.
• It has now been implemented that the REST API includes three new endpoints to manipulate LinkRuleDefinitions, addressing the previous absence of endpoints for modifying LinkRules, see below:

    Update link rule definitions for entity.

• It has now been implemented that the workflow engine can trigger workflows based on standard internal system events, such as activation, deactivation, and entity sort updates. This enhancement enables the efficient automation of internal processes.

Please see below for the deployed bug fixes:

• We have applied a solution to ensure validation for data types with NuGet version 8.2.4. This includes the addition of field validation when adding an entity to prevent server errors, ensuring that only validation errors are encountered during the entity addition process.
• We have applied a solution to ensure that SQL queries are now correctly generated when the 'Not Equals' channel is selected.
• We have applied a solution to ensure that the Remoting API GetAllPersonalWorkAreaFoldersForUser method returns the correct WorkAreaFolder, even if the user has not signed in to the portal.
• We have applied a solution to ensure that, when performing a REST API query, users can now utilize the ContainsAny and NotContainsAny operators for single CVL queries as well as for arrays. This enhancement facilitates more flexible and efficient searches.
• We have applied a solution to ensure that the UpdateCVL permission in the Remoting API now correctly allows the AddCVL() operation.
• We have applied a solution to ensure that multi-value search now functions correctly in 3DL.
• We have applied a solution to ensure that, for our Syndicate Plus users, the performance of showing the A+ tab in the syndication view is improved.
• We have applied a solution to ensure that, for our Syndicate Plus users, collections can be retrieved for trading partners with special characters in their names.
