It’s time for our monthly review of the most recent inriver product releases, where we delve into the more practical benefits behind the technical details.
History View
One exciting new feature that was released during the month of May comes as a result of direct requests from our customer and partner community. The new History button will be instantly visible to all PIM users at the top of their work area in the Enrich dashboard. It’s designed to improve the user experience by reducing the amount of time users spend repeatedly searching for the same entities.
Click on this link to jump immediately to a list of the 10 entities you have most recently viewed. The list is divided by entity type for easy navigation. Click on the history icon again to easily toggle back to the work area/search result.
It's also possible to view your History in split-screen mode so you can toggle easily between different entities and screens when choosing what content to work with.
Content Store
We have made some changes to Content Store this month that will make it easier for storefront users to download a specific range of resources as zip files. In addition, users who have bookmarked or saved links to individual pages within a Content Store will now be redirected to the login page automatically, providing a smoother user experience.
Remoting API
It’s important to us that the partners and customers working directly with the inriver APIs enjoy an efficient and satisfactory development experience. That’s why we added extra validation to the inriver Remoting API in a recent release. API calls are now automatically checked for both incorrect settings keys and any values that contain null settings. This enhancement is designed to help developers to proactively identify issues in their code and reduce the time spent troubleshooting coding problems. This is one of several improvements and bug fixes we’ve made to the Remoting API this month that will also eliminate timeout errors when working with large datasets and improve error logging.
That’s it for this summary. If you’d like to know more about the details behind these enhancements, you can read our technical release notes at any time.
